WhiteDog Announces Platform Expansion Dubbed âDelta Detection and Responseâ
WhiteDog, a cybersecurity-as-a-service provider, launched an expanded platform this week that itâs calling of đ«DR, or delta detection and response. According to the company, the platform is designed to close the gaps that XDR solutions donât address, delivering visibility across the five key layers of a security modelâemail, DNS, identity, endpoint, and network.
WhiteDog founder Shahin Pirooz tells MSP Success that XDR (extended detection and response) today is âreally still endpoint-focused. It collects some logs from firewalls and some logs from email and thatâs it. But thereâs no detection and response anywhere but the endpoint.â
To fill that gap, or âdelta,â WhiteDog added identity detection and response (IDR) and post-gateway inbox detection and response to its XDR offering. đ«DR is available as subscription-based, single SKU with a mix of user and device pricing. Also included in the platform is MDR, attack surface management (ASM), SIEM, and EDR, all backed the companyâs 24/7 security operations center and incident response.
âOur approach is a holistic one that takes into account who the users are, what theyâre using to communicate, what email platform, what endpoints they work from, what networks theyâre living on, are they consuming cloud services and how they access all of that,â says Pirooz. âAnd where đ«DR comes in is it crosses all of these different facets and covers all five layers of that security model.â
A Curated Platform
WhiteDog, which came out of stealth in June of 2023, offers a curated, composable stack of cybersecurity tools with a global 24/7 security operations team that MSPs can white label.
âWe realized that security tools have a life of three to five years, so the bad actors outpace them,â Pirooz says, explaining why they decided to curate tools rather than develop them. âYou constantly have to refresh and implement something new. And the struggle is keeping up with the changes in the market, the changes in defense, the changes in tactics. So we chose to ⊠curate an enterprise stack of software, but leverage our threat hunting and threat management and proactive approaches. From an integration standpoint, all of our development went into the portal front end and the integration between the tools and the correlation rules and all that. So we use best in class technologies, all enterprise grade. Thereâs about 60 tools behind this entire portfolio.â
đ«DR is available now.
Evoâs End User Elevation Solution Enhanced and Ready for Prime Time
Evo Security, an identity and access management (IAM) company for MSPs and their customers, unveiled the public release of Evo End User Elevation this week at IT Nation Secure. Evo End User Elevation enforces least privilege across all customer endpoints. It replaces standing admin rights with an on-demand elevation workflow that lets standard users request temporary access for specific actions via Evoâs multitenant dashboard or mobile app. Technicians can approve or deny based on AI-generated context and pre-built elevation rules.
After getting feedback from MSPs with early access, Evo enhanced the solution with AI-driven risk summaries, technician rule-building tools, secure desktop integration, and mobile technician controls.
âItâs a tool that is purpose built for MSPs to allow and enforce admin privileges to their customers in a really intelligent and efficient and highly secure way,â says Evo founder and CEO Michael Roth.
With AI-driven risk analysis, every elevation request is automatically enriched with metadata and a risk summary, helping techs âreduce the liability of making a poor decision,â Roth explains. In addition, Evo conducts all elevation sessions in Microsoftâs Secure Desktop, mitigating risks from credential harvesting or session hijacking.
Technicians can also build elevation rules from historical requests or by uploading executables. Rules are enforced at the user, endpoint, group, or tenant level. And with a training mode, MSPs can monitor request patterns before enforcing policies to ensure a smooth transition away from permanent admin access.
End User Elevate integrates natively with Evoâs full identity stack, including MFA, SSO, Help Desk Verification, managed RADIUS, and Technician Elevation. Itâs generally available now.

This week, cybersecurity company Coro announced their new partner program, Coro Compass. The program is designed to enable Coro partners to scale faster and more profitably with streamlined operations, hands-on support, and additional resources.
The primary goals of this new program are to provide simplicity and protection to partners, says Joe Sykora, Coroâs SVP and general manager of the Americas and ANZ. âWeâre firm believers in making sure we protect the partners that bring us into opportunities. Itâs a very simple program. We have just two levels; weâre trying to take the complications out of [partner] programs.â
