Stealth Startup Flamingo Launches an Open-Source Tools Platform and Community for MSPs
OpenMSP, launched by still-in-stealth startup Flamingo, is a community-driven platform for MSPs with open-source tooling. The platform features an AI Margin Increase Report generator that automatically calculates potential profit improvements by switching to an open-source tool.
OpenMSP catalogs 155 commercial vendors across NOC, SOC, IT, and business operations categories, and provides comprehensive mapping to open-source equivalents such as TacticalRMM, Wazuh, and Odoo.
The platform also offers access to a peer-driven community, best-practice playbooks, and support channels to help MSPs safely adopt and operationalize open-source tooling.
“Over the past 15 years, I’ve closely followed the evolution of open-source technology in the IT and security space. What started as basic tooling has now matured to the point where many open-source solutions rival, and often outperform, commercial products. While challenges around support, deployment, and orchestration remain, they’re becoming significantly easier to manage,” said Michael Assraf, Flamingo founder and CEO, in a press statement. Assraf was the founder and previous CEO of Vicarius, a vulnerability remediation vendor. “At my previous startup, I witnessed managed service providers increasingly adopting open-source tools in isolated cases. OpenMSP was created to take that trend further—offering structured support and a unified path forward for MSPs ready to embrace open source at scale.”
OpenMSP is available now. MSPs can access the AI Margin Increase Report generator and the complete vendor directory at no cost.
Helpt’s New HelptFlow+ Works with an MSP’s Preferred Environment
Helpt, a provider of U.S.-based technical support services, launched HelptFlow+, an upgraded support service designed to operate seamlessly within each client’s preferred tools and environments. HelptFlow+ expands on HelptFlow, which offers 24/7 live support and handles routine issues.
With HelptFlow+, Helpt technicians can work within the MSP’s preferred remote access tool. It also integrates directly with an MSP’s PSA to create and update tickets natively.
In addition, Helpt has added CIPP to its list of supported password/access management systems and has partnered with Traceless for end-user identity verification.
“Since launching HelpFlow last November, we’ve seen incredible results,” says Matthew Pincus, co-founder of Helpt, in a press statement. “But we’ve listened closely to our partners’ feedback and learned that some want even more flexibility, especially when it comes to tools and integrations. That’s where HelptFlow+ comes in.”
Addigy Unveils Prebuilt App Catalog, a Script-Free Way for MSPs to Manage Apple Devices
Addigy, an Apple device management provider, announced the Addigy Prebuilt App Catalog. Addigy’s prebuilt apps deliver a script-free way for MSPs to deploy, update, and manage software across Apple fleets.
Addigy’s curated catalog of the most commonly used apps is searchable and filterable. Each prebuilt app includes all necessary MDM profiles, such as system extensions and Privacy Preferences Policy Control (PPPC) profiles. MSPs can customize update strategies for each client without any scripting or MDM profile knowledge required.
Key features include:
- Auto Updates with Continuous Monitoring: Choose fixed app version or Auto Update, setting once to ensure devices always have the latest, most secure software. Prebuilt apps check every 30 minutes if an app needs an update.
- Update Only: Update any app already on the device—even unmanaged ones.
- Automated Compliance: Set deployment schedules and enforce update deadlines to ensure compliance without disrupting user productivity.
- Inheritance and Overrides: Maintain control over policy structure while enabling exceptions for one-off needs.
- Executive Proof of Value: Easily share monthly reports.
Addigy is expanding its Prebuilt App Catalog weekly.

TD SYNNEX Acquires Apptium Commerce Platform
TD SYNNEX acquired Apptium, a software development company and provider of a cloud commerce platform. Prior to the acquisition, Apptium acted as a key partner and enabler to the StreamOne platform, the foundation of TD SYNNEX’s digital business orchestration strategy.
According to TD SYNNEX, the acquisition will improve the ways in which TD SYNNEX can accelerate solutions that will help vendors and customers better serve their stakeholders and enable Apptium to better serve its existing and new customer.
“Rick Kapani and his team have built a transformative platform that has already delivered a meaningful impact underpinning our own solutions orchestration capabilities. Bringing this technical expertise to TD SYNNEX allows us to execute on our strategy and continue investments in serving our customers as well as the incoming customers of Apptium,” said Patrick Zammit, CEO, TD SYNNEX, in a press statement. “Through this platform we will strengthen support for our ecosystem partners and expand our addressable market over the next several years.”
Through its billing/subscription management platform, the Apptium platform addresses the challenges of subscription- and consumption-based IT service models and simplifies management of multiple cloud providers in a single platform.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of TD SYNNEX, Apptium will continue to function as a separate organization. Founder Rick Kapani will continue to lead the business as general manager and senior vice president. Apptium will also continue serving its existing customers via the Apptium Cloud Commerce Platform.
